Volleyball Training in Chandler, AZ

Volleyball Training Built for the Court

Semi-private training for volleyball athletes 12 and up, in Chandler. Jump higher, move better, and hold up through a full club season.

Volleyball Demands a Lot. Is Your Athlete Prepared?

Your athlete is on the court most days of the week. Practices, tournaments, travel weekends. The season is long and it asks a lot of them.

What it does not do is build the qualities the sport depends on. Jumping higher. Landing safely. Changing direction effectively and absorbing force time after time.

The harder part for parents: there are a lot of places to train, and from the outside they all look similar. Same equipment, same promises, same before-and-after posts. It is hard to tell what actually transfers to the court and what just makes an athlete tired.

What Usually Happens Instead

Athletes plateau. The vertical stops moving and nobody can say why.

Then pain creeps in. Knees, shoulders, lower back.

Usually it traces back to the same place. The volume keeps climbing, and the little things that keep an athlete healthy never get done. No landing work, no mobility work, no real recovery. Just more volleyball on top of more volleyball.

Years of Experience Working with Volleyball Players

We know what a competitive volleyball season does to an athlete's body, because we have coached a lot of them. Between club and school, it's a grind, and athletes need to be ready for it.

Ignite has helped over 125 athletes earn college athletic scholarships. That includes volleyball players who have competed at Irvine, Arizona State, Long Beach State, North Carolina, Colorado, and Loyola Maryland, to name a few.

Here's How We'll Get You There

  1. Step One

    Schedule an Evaluation

45 minutes. We measure, screen, and watch your athlete move, then sit down with you and go through what we found.

  2. Step Two

    Train in a Small Group

Your athlete joins a semi-private group at their level. Coached the whole time, with a plan built around what the evaluation turned up.

  3. Step Three

    Retest and Adjust

We retest the metrics monthly. The plan changes when the numbers change, not on a set schedule.

What Training Actually Covers

Jump Development

Approach jump, standing vertical, single leg. We test all three and train all three, because the game asks for all three.

Force Absorption

Landing mechanics and tendon work. This is the part almost nobody trains, and it is the reason athletes make it through February without knee pain.

Power Development

How fast an athlete produces force, not only how much. It shows up in the first step to the ball and in how hard they can still swing in the fifth set.

Strength

Lower body, upper body, and core, organized around what the sport demands rather than what looks good on a whiteboard.

Mobility and Injury Prevention

Every athlete gets screened at their evaluation. Hips, ankles, shoulders. What comes back deficient gets addressed in every session, not in a handout.

Nutrition Guidance

Practical fueling for athletes training and competing in the same week. No supplements to buy, no plans to download.

What This Looks Like Six Months In

Your athlete touches higher, and it shows up in a match instead of only in testing.

They move better. Quicker to the ball, more balanced when they land, more comfortable in the positions the game puts them in.

They finish the season healthy, playing their best volleyball in the part of the year that matters most.

And they want to be there. That one matters more than it sounds. Athletes who like their training environment train for years, not weeks.

Who Trains Here

Volleyball athletes 12 and up, at any level of the sport. Club, high school, or both.

Your athlete does not need weight room experience. A good number of the athletes who walk in have never touched a barbell, and the evaluation is built to find that out before anybody loads a bar.

We train out of 1905 S. Hamilton Street in Chandler. Same Ignite standards, with the program built to develop volleyball athletes comprehensively.

Looking to Add Inches to Your Vertical?

Start with the 6-Week Jump Program. Six weeks, with the goal of increasing your athlete's vertical jump.

Learn About the 6-Week Jump Program
Does my athlete have to be on a specific club team to train here?

No. The program is open to any volleyball athlete 12 and up, whatever club or school they play for.

My athlete has never lifted weights. Is this too advanced?

No. That is common, and it is one of the things the evaluation is for. Athletes are grouped and programmed by what they can currently do, not by age or grade. Beginners start with bodyweight and movement quality and earn their way into loaded lifting.

How many athletes are in a group?

Semi-private groups are capped small enough that every athlete gets coached on every set. That cap is the reason we can do individual correction inside a group setting.

Can my athlete train on practice days?

Yes, and most do. Sessions are built to work alongside a full practice and tournament schedule, and we adjust training intensity around your athlete's competition calendar so they feel their best when it counts.

What happens at the evaluation?

45 minutes. Jump testing, a mobility and movement screen, and a strength assessment. Then a conversation with you about what we found, what we would work on, and whether this is the right fit. There is no obligation to sign up.

Start With an Evaluation

Forty-five minutes tells you more about your athlete than a season of guessing. You will leave knowing where they stand, what is holding them back, and what we would do about it.
